Today we are celebrating a very significant milestone in our history: a new anniversary as Cirion, a leading digital infrastructure and technology provider in Latin America, which began on August 1st 2022 backed by Stonepeak, a leading investment firm specialized in global digital infrastructure. This is an ideal time to reflect on everything we have accomplished so far and look ahead enthusiastically.

The purpose that has been driving and animating us from day 1 is promoting Latin America´s progress through technology, accompanying businesses along their own digital transformation path.  To that end we have increased our digital and technological infrastructure investments on an annual basis.  In 2023, we invested over US$235MM figure that is expected to increase by 30% this year, hitting over US$300MM.

We know the region like no one else, and our presence supports this fact: +90,500 km of fiber networks, part of the few Pan-Latin American networks, present in more than 20 countries and one of the few submarine networks providers. Additionally, we operate one of the most interconnected Data Center platforms in Latin America, with 18 owned carrier-neutral data centers.

Our expansions include new network infrastructure, extended by ~1800 km of Long-Haul and 570 km of metro networks in 2023, to expand our coverage and capacity and to continue connecting third-party data centers to our neutral Pan-Latin American network. In addition, we are aggressively expanding our data center infrastructure by building new data centers in Chile (SAN2) and Peru (LIM2), the recent extension of the data centers complex in Sao Paulo, Brazil (SAO1), as well as the ongoing growth of our data centers in Río (RIO1) and Buenos Aires (BUE1). Furthermore, the purchase of more than 15,000 sq meter parcel of land adjacent to our data center in Rio de Janeiro was completed. This will allow us to build a new 60 megawatt carrier-neutral data center facility (RIO2). These projects ensure continued scalability for Cirion customers as cloud adoption and digital demand continue to proliferate rapidly in Latin America. They also highlight our unwavering commitment to expanding our data center presence in key markets across the region to support customer demand.

Cirion’s diverse connectivity options, in tandem with geographic proximity to end users, position us as a strategic partner in addressing the challenges and needs of hyperscalers, carriers and organizations across all industries.

Data Centers are key to promoting and making possible new technologies development and evolution such as artificial intelligence and sustainability, a key element in our operations. Accordingly, the new data centers were designed following international standards, emphasizing on energy efficiency.

I also have to mention our services expansion and scope such as Bare Metal Cloud, SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and more recently DC Connect, an innovative solution designed to facilitate multiple data centers connectivity. DC Connect is a comprehensive platform that enables the secure and efficient transfer of data between geographically dispersed sites.  This solution is critical for businesses and organizations that operate in multiple locations and need a reliable connection to ensure business continuity and synchronization of their data. With more than 160 interconnected Data Centers in more than 60 cities, Cirion is positioned as a leader in instant connectivity between data centers in key cities of the Americas, including the NAP in Miami.

New strategic alliances were developed with global players such as Qwilt, Tata Communications, CBC Tech, Connectbase, among others, meant to significantly expand market penetration and strengthen high-quality service offers for global customers in Latin America.

Last, but not least are the Industry Recognitions. Cirion was awarded Frost & Sullivan’s 2023 Global Company of the Year Award for Telecommunication Data Center services, as well as Managed SD-WAN Industry, also by Frost & Sullivan.  Another milestone was entering the Global Ethernet Provider LEADERBOARD 2023, as the only Latin American company, thanks to being focused on investing in a 100 gigabits metropolitan network for the region, providing our next-generation architecture with faster Ethernet speeds.

Throughout our more than three decades of history, we have laid robust relationships with our customers, building a community of trust and mutual collaboration. Today we are the technological partner of more than 5,500 Latin American and multinational customers, including companies; government agencies; cloud service providers; carriers; ISPs, and other leading businesses.

But beyond these achievements, what really makes us proud is the human team that made it possible. They have been instrumental every step of the way. Their dedication, creativity and commitment to what we do are the engine that drives our company to success.

We are excited for the opportunities the future holds and ready to tackle new challenges. May this be just the beginning of many more years of success, innovation and growth. Together, we will continue building the digital future.
